I don't know what to do!!!?

Hi i recently had posted a question regarding adopting a puppy pitbull and i wanted to know the pros and cons and i got them!! my concern was that since we have a baby on the way! and already have another toddler! anyways we ended up adopting this cute lil female pitbull! and she is as cute as can be! the only problem is today i took her to the vet because her hair is falling out, has welts, rash with scabs, and othe rskind things! and they concerned me because when we first met her she was not like that! and yesrteday when we finally adopted her she showd skin problems! well took her to the vet and he was really ice and honest and he said she has so many different skin problems and looks like diseases of some kind, he advice that the best thing he could recomend is to take her back! because he thinks is unfair that we adopted her and she is not healthy or treated for her infections and ohter problems! he even told me to isolate her from our other dog and son! what should i do!

I don't know what to do!!!?
You should definately take her back. No one should adopt out a dog to a family that has some unknown condition. That seems like a desaster waiting to happen. I feel so bad for you. I'd tell them that if they dont get that dog treated for w/e it is that is wrong w/her that your gonna call animal services... You know, maybe you should take her back and contact animal services anyway just to make sure that the people get her treated... Too many people have animals just to make money and not to care for them... Its so sad.
Reply:Take the dog to the VET and treat her or return the Dog
Reply:It sounds so awful, the only thing you can do is take her back to where you got her, cause it's really unfair.
Reply:That's really sad. Unfortunately youshould take her back before it's too late (by that I mean the person won't take her). Having a puppy is great and pitbulls can be loveable despite their bad rep. Although you may love her think about what its going to cost to have her cared for with all those illnesses.
Reply:as cute as they can be you should take her back cause you never know if it could get on you or any body else..
Reply:She is feeling like she is being punished by being put in the garage. I personally would not have a pit around my kids. I have one there are very protective of their owners, but since she is having so many problems I would take her back unless you can afford a hefty vet bill. It may be her nerves too ya know, they tend to lose their hair due to nerves maybe she is not used to kids but my personal opinion I would take her back.
Reply:take her back to where u got her and take her to the vet to run some test on her
Reply:You need to think about the safety and health of your son, everything should come after that. You cannot place a pup above the well being of your child.
Reply:Seriously I would take her back or better still ring the shelter and tell them the state she's in and report them to the RSPCA. Where i live there is one particular 'dog shelter' that hands out dogs willy nilly and doesn't do house check or anything, that's the type of place to avoid, not that I'm saying the one you got your little cutie from is the same but sound like she wasn't checked over properly. bless you I bet you're gutted, I'd tell them you want your vet fees back too. Good luck
Reply:This is probably not the answer that you want, and I am so sorry. My husband and I adopted a male lab puppy in jan. He looked fine when we adopted him, and the vet at the PAWS gave him a clean bill of health.

Just a month ago, maybe a 6 weeks ago, he got a really scary scab on his neck, right where his collar was. We took him to the vet and they gave us pills and a shampoo for him. It looked like it was getting better, but then he started losing patches of hair and was scratching all the time. From watching Animal Planet, we came to the conclusion that there was a good chance that he had mange.

When we took him to the vets last week, they took one look at him and decided that they need to euthanize him.

It is probably not what you want to know... but the vets think that he had gotten mange from his mom...
Reply:no vet, but sounds like mange(seems the vet woulda told you this) (google it) usually treatable but very contagious to other animals
Reply:hi, i also had a dog with a rare skin disease and not to scare you but it had to be put down. but that was only because it was an advanced skin rash. so i do thank you should take the dog back or you can see if there is a type of medicine that you can give your dog. But make sure you do what you decide to do before you have the baby.
