Scabs all over my dogs back?

my dog has small scabs all over her back. Where the furr is attached, so like if i move her furr to examine such scabs, some of them pull from the skin due to the fur. Also on some parts on her back she has multipul scabs close together like a patch almost. He hair seems unaffected though. Its not falling out or anything.

I'd take her to the vet, but i can't. My dad is a REAL cheap guy. He doesn't really want dogs, but since im so attached to her he let me keep her. He doesn't hate dogs. anyways, the most he'd do is buy her dog food. to him a trip to the vet would be expensive unless my dog had a serious injury or something.

So can anyone tell whats wrong with me dog? Why it could be there and how to get rid of it? Shes a cocker spaniel which is 4 years old. She had no fleas or ticks. And used to have a skin problem where a year ago her furr was falling out. but this seems different. cause she had fleas and ticks at the time.

What should I do? These scabs appear from no where

The only problem with not taking her to the vet is that your problem will not be able to be properly diagnosed. Make a deal with your father and either pay it off or do chores in exchange for his efforts. The problem with your pet can range from allergies to fleas to dry skin - we won't know by description alone. The vet is your only real option of seeing relief for the pet. Also, some animal hospitals do payment plans. $30 a month would sounds better to your fathers ears.
Reply:its probably a skin allergy...try changing her food...there's one food--hills science diet for sensitive skin--thats not too expensive and helped two dogs that i know that had skin problems
Reply:Sounds like she has allergies. Our cat and my sister-in-laws dog both developed this. To different things. She does need a vet. She will eventually be miserable if this is it. It does sound like it. Make some kind of a deal with him. My sisters dog cat has to get a shot each month but the dog has creme to put on her.For the sake of your Spaniel, I hope you work something out.
Reply:take your dog to a vet. maybe you can work out a payment arrangement. skin problems are nothing to mess around with. my dog nearly died from a misdiagnosed skin problem! i don't want to sound unsympathetic, but if you can't afford to take your dog to a vet, you really shouldn't have one. i'm sorry, but your dog deserves to have proper treatment.
Reply:She could have an infection or allergies, nobody on here can tell you exactly what this is. Your dog needs to see a vet if you care about her, you should really sit down and talk to your dad.

What if something that looks minor turns out to be serious? I'm not talking about this situation directly, but what if your dad refuses to bring your dog to a vet when there is something serious going on with your dog? Sorry but if you can't afford vet bills you should not have a dog. The vet will work out a payment option with you, please call your vet. Good luck.
