I want to know if you own a pug that has health problems.?

My pug has had nothing but health problems. I know purebred dogs have more health problems than others. She is nine years old and she has sugar and skin problems. I feel like we have a revolving charge card at the vets. And she also has ear infections constantly and allergys. We love our dog shes like a spoiled kid.

I want to know if you own a pug that has health problems.?
It's not true that purebred dogs have more health problems. It is true older dogs have more health problems though. Unfortunately just like us as we age health issues come up more frequently. I know when I was young I hardly ever saw a doctor. Now I'm pushing 50 I'm there much more often.

Just keep doing what you are doing for your dog. Make sure she is on a good quality food as that will help keep her health as good as it can be at her age. Apart from that and regular exercise there is not too much more you can do. With any animal the vet will become a closer friend as they age. It's just a fact of life.
Reply:Where did you get your dog from?

Whenever you own a dog it always costs whether purebred or a mutt. Most dogs have problems whether they get injured or they get sick.

Owning a dog isn't cheap.

The reality is that dogs and humans age and they get health problems.

Also it depends the type of diet your dog has had in the past and is eating now.
Reply:Probiotics.....

Your pug has many challenges plus age, and spoiled.

There is a great chance her digestive tract is not what it was when younger.

Do you understand the importance of the tract?

Just incase you do not....the tract is 70% of the immune system and the source of nutrition to the whole body. Therefore it can have a profound affect on the health and longevity of your pug.

Probiotics are safe but very beneficial so it is worth trying

We have used Canine Microbial from a product line called Fastrack. These products are of high quality and very well priced. We found it is best to feed a little each day.

one of dogs is sixteen this year and plays with our 3yr dog.
