Dog now peeing on the floor?

She's a 12 year old collie and other mix (mutt...don't know all the breeds). A few days ago she was taken to the vet because she was having skin problems, which itching until there were patches of fur missing. She was tested and found to have many allergies, including to dairy, beef, certain grasses and trees. She was given an allergy shot that's suposed to work for three weeks.

Now this morning I had her jump up into a recliner, like usual, but she looked terrified and didn't really think much of it, and then she got off of the chair to go lay down somewhere else, and we saw a huge spot of urine on the chair! She has never ever urinated in the house in 11 years or more, and she does this out of the blue! And then after she sits down somewhere, and gets up, there will be a little spot of urine when she gets up. What should I do? What could be wrong with her? I'm really scared and sad right now...I just need to know there's nothing major wrong with her.

oh poor thing sound as if she has got old and is incontinent, just to be sure i would take her to the vets.
Reply:It could be a UTI or the fact that she is old. Take her into the vet and tell them she is having problems holding her urine and that she may have a UTI! There are medications to help resolve this issue no matter which it is.
Reply:The only way is to take her back to the vet. I think everything happening at once is just a coincidence. You have to realize that 12years is about the average life expectancy age for most breeds and this is when a load of health issues come along. She will likely need to wear doggy panties until the vet gets her diagnosed since she is all over your furniture and peeing everywhere else as well.
