You may be washing her too much. When you over wash your dog, your not allowing the natural oils to build in their coat which leads to dry skin. When you do wash, about once a month, use a moisturizing/sensitive skin shampoo. They sell them at pet stores.
Reply:Your dog may have allergies or dry skin. Only your vet will be able to tell you that. If the dog has dry skin, Ive found that shampoo with oatmeal works well in relieving some of the itching. Ive also used Vitamin E oil on the area and that seemed to help also. Good luck!
Reply:itz maybe because of the pollen outside
Reply:allergies or heat rash
Reply:FIRST OF ALL, WHAT ARE YOU FEEDING? HAVE YOU HAD YOUR DOG TESTED FOR ALLERGIES? I HAVE FOUND THAT THE BEST SHAMPOO TO USE IS DENOREX (FOR PEOPLE) TO COMBAT THIS PROBLEM. THE DOGGY SHAMPOOS DO NOT SEEM TO HELP. I USUALLY WASH LEGS AND BEARD TWICE A WEEK AND GIVE A LIMITED INGREDIENT DIET TO ANY WHO DISPLAY THIS TENDENCY AND IT SEEMS TO HELP A GREAT DEAL.
