Dog rug for a pyrenean?

My dog is a pyrenean mountain dog.


Their skin irritates really easily.


So we obviously have to speand hours drying him with a towel if he gets wet and still he is soaking hours later!





It woud be so much easier if he had a light 'rug'. You know you can get these dog rugs....(the ones that look rediculous and make you feel sorry for the poor thing)... well how about a light rug (like a thin sweat rug horses wear)... but the problem is....he is the size of a shetland pony!! you cant get a dog rug for his size!!





Should i get a simple, thin rug/sheet-kinda thing, for him so he doesn't get as wet and disgusting (only on a walk or something...not while we are away and he is in the garden of course!) If so where could i get such a thing??
