My dog has sumthing wrong with it.??

Ok...welll he has scabs forming all over his body and has little boils coming out of his leg and one morning when we woke up all the hair of the tip of his tail was gone and his tail was bleeding. Does he have some sort of skin problem? or sumthing?

This dog needs to see the vet. Don't let this go on any longer. He should have been into the vet sooner. He is suffering.

Reply:it sounds like it could be a couple of things. first off the scabs and his tail bleeding are more than likely from him scratching. which would lead me to belive that he either has mad fleas or a type exema (itchy dry skin). if your sure he dosent have fleas then you can do a few things for the itchy skin. first use an oatmeal based sensitive skin shampoo. you can also put a tablespoon of vegitible oil in with his food, this will help moisturize his skin from the inside. also check you local pet store for a vitamine e supplement or ask your vet if you can use human pills. usually the liquid type you can squeez out onto his food. hope this helps. either way you need to take him to the vet!
Reply:It could either be allergies or dry skin problems. Have you had him out in the woods or somewhere where he could have picked up a flea or two? Some dogs get bad reactions to flea bites. Also, some dog breeds (German Shepherds for example) can have bad problems with dry skin. Their skin gets itchy so they start bitting. However, what you describe as his having bit the hair at the tip of his tail sounds more like insect bite allergies to me. Please do take him to the vet ASAP.

Reply:It sounds like he might have some sort of allergy. The spring time will usually make the problem worse. It could also be a food allergy. Have you changed his food. I agree with the others take him to the vet.
