My dog has a red looking rash on his cheek with yellow ooze, what can it be?

I have an English Bulldog, and he really doesn't have many skin problems, he's only allergic to some dog foods and treats- that breaks him out in what looks like dry pimples, they scab and then go away in a day or two. but he has not had any treats or a change in dog food. and i noticed a red patch on his right cheek along with something that looks like a yellow discharge coming from it. i don't think its a ringworm - so i am not sure what it could be, i want to know if there is something maybe over the counter i can try before taking him to his pricey vet. thanks for any info anyone can provide.

This could be anything from a "hot-spot" to a type of mange. Anything with a discharge or pustules may require anti-biotics. I agree you should take your dog to a vet before it really gets bad.
Reply:I would have that looked at by a Vet, sounds like it may need more than an over the counter product.
Reply:I agree with "rabid", get that puppy to his doctor! You can either take care of it now, and pay a little bit OR wait and pay a whole lot MORE, in one form or another.
Reply:A ZIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:mabe he has acne
Reply:Infected!
